2nd International Course on Health Care in Detention June 25-29, 2018 Thammasat University - Faculty of Public Health

The 2nd International Course on Health Care in Detention was opened by Prof. Dr. Marc Van der Putten, Chair of International Graduate Studies at the Faculty of Public Health, Thammasat University, and Dr. Carol Dromer Coordinator for Health in Detention, International Committee of the Red Cross Headquarters, Geneva on Monday 25 June 2018.
This intensive course attracted 22 participants from the African and Asia-Pacific regions. This course is unique as it is the first in the world to be embedded in a Master of Public Health (Global Health) Program, while accessible as a capacity building opportunity for professionals concerned with health in detention. This year's participants came from Ministries of Justice, Departments of Corrections, Ministries of Health and graduate students from the Faculty of Public Health.
