GMS Schools of Public Health

Thammasat University’s Faculty of Public Health is an active member of the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) Public Health Academic Network. The vision of the GMS Public Health Academic Network is to promote the public’s health and advocate for health equity in the Greater Mekong Sub-region. The Network has the mission to enhance regional capacity to address major public health challenges through the delivery of education, research, and policy advocacy for the improvement of population health and for health equity in the region.

The Network is committed to (a) enhancing the quality and relevance of educational and training programs in public health in the GMS through the reform of public health education to match the needs and the challenges of the health systems, (b) strengthening collaboration and partnership of public health institutions in the GMS through the development and implementation of quality teaching, research, and policy advocacy and (c) fostering collaborative actions among existing networks, policymakers, and researchers with interest in health policy and health research.
